Over December 2025 and January 2026, volunteers will be opening the historic Reid Homestead at Home Bay*. If you are visiting Motutapu, call in to learn more about the restoration project and the homestead.

Coffee, cold drinks and snacks including ice creams for sale.

Opening dates are below, however please note that these are subject to weather and volunteer availability.

- Wednesday 24 Dec - Sunday 4 Jan: Open every day
- Saturday 10 Jan - Sunday 8 Feb: Weekends and public holidays only

Opening hours are 11am - 3pm on the dates above, but may be extended if volunteers are staying over.
If the "Open" flag is out (you can see this from the campground or your boat) the house is open!
