The ASB Community Trust is an independent grant-making organisation supporting the work of not-for-profit groups in Auckland and Northland. Founded on the sale of its shares in ASB bank, the Trust has made grants worth more than $600m since being formed in 1988.Their vision is to enhance equity and enrich society in Auckland and Northland. The ASB Community Trust has generously funded the restoration of the Home Bay wharf and the historic 1901 Reid Homestead at Home Bay.
The NZ Lotteries Grants Board was set up by Parliament to distribute the proceeds of state lotteries to the New Zealand community. The NZLGB has made significant grants enabling the Trust to deal to large scale island weed infestations.
