When the Motutapu Restoration Trust communications team met early June 2010 for their regular meeting at the offices of long time sponsor, marketing software solutions company Ubiquity, a small celebration was definitely in order.

Back in 2009, the Trustees agreed that our existing site, which had served us well for 5-6 years, needed an upgrade. The communications committee recommended a completely new site was required in order to take advantage of new web technologies. Andrew had initially raised this suggestion with the technical committee several years earlier.

It has been 12 months since we quietly launched the new Motutapu Restoration Trust website.  Our mission being, not only to inspire involvement in the Trust's various activities, but also to tell all the fascinating island stories both past and present  - as well as create awareness  about our dreams for the island's future.

Our site has grown quickly over these 12 months. Currently there are 150 pages of information which surely makes motutapu.org.nz one of the more content rich conservation/restoration sites in the country.

Each of our webpages includes a red 'feedback' tag on the left hand side of the screen. Please feel free to make use of this facility to let us know what we are doing right as well as any issues or complaints. Your feedback is important to help us improve the site

Oscars were awarded by Nathalie to Andrew from website developers, Webmate (website technology) and John (screenwriting). Special thanks must also go to Nathalie, who developed our original website 7 years ago and was integral to the genesis of our new site.
